Oct 19, 2014
Finally, we found some free time together, and after canceling a few events that weekend; My family (Hien) called Mr. Phu to register to attend the 29th course of the Holy Father's Day (held at the Vietnamese Martyrs Parish, Arlington, Texas).
Mr. Phu enthusiastically guided the necessary details, and sent contact forms even after 9 pm. Thank you, Mr. Phu Thu.
The next day, we received an email from Mr. and Mrs. An Huong,
Before I could reply, in the afternoon, Mr. An called to ask
visit. Even though we've never met in person, and this is the first time we've talked on the phone,
But Mr. and Mrs. An Huong are very cheerful and friendly, creating more trust
Thoughts for Duc Hien.
Thursday morning, October 23, 2014, after mass, walking along
parking lot, accidentally met 2 couples. I recognized Kim Anh-Hung because I attended several of their seminars at the 2014 Marian Congress (Carthage-Missouri). The remaining two are Mr. and Mrs. An Huong.
So, no more hesitation and hesitation, my husband and I
Prepare to enter the course with extremely excited spirit.
On Friday afternoon, the two of us wore handwritten name tags (I must have been at the end of the book, so the organizers didn't have time to print them, because it was too urgent, hehe...).
The reception desk gave a basket containing programs, songs...
and 1 candle with Duc Hien's name written on it. I was extremely touched and nervous as I waited in line to stand side by side and take pictures.
During our 38 years of marriage, we were often busy with work, raising children... We did not realize the precious moments and priceless gifts that God had given us.
"God gives a companion to live as a life partner.......
Pray for each other, pray for each other, always live in love
initial. Forever give me bright faith. Let me smell good forever
full of love. Pray for each other, pray for each other."
Duc Hien also had the honor of taking a photo with Father Raymond
Nguyen Manh Thu, and Mr. and Mrs. An Huong (who will be on-site
instructing Duc Hien in the course).
And, I was speechless when reading Nguyen's poem "Slippers".
Trung Kien is printed on the back cover of the book. Look at the "slippers"
I suddenly realized it clearly like a warm poem:
"Walking together, walking together, no one is short or tall
Let's share the strength of others to avoid trampling
Even though honor and disgrace do not go with others
The fate of one depends on the other."
Seminars, and listening to brothers and sisters "break bread" of life,
helped Duc Hien see the issue of marriage from different angles
different edges. The confides of the brothers and sisters, like mirrors, like autobiographies, help the audience to see themselves clearly, or learn about themselves.
add the attributes of love and marriage in the light of faith
Catholic.
It was so choking, but also confident and entrusting, to hear Huy Ngoc and Hue affirm: "PROSPERITY OR HARDNESS, ALL IS GRACE"
In the past, when I was still sitting at Van Khoa, listening to lectures and reading "Praise
"body" by Professor Nguyen Van Trung, inside me overflowed
offers a new discovery about humans in the relationship between
mentally and physically. During more than ten years of serving at the Redemptorist Fathers and participating in CGTH activities, my contemplative spirit was a bit strict and spiritually devout.
The balance between physical and mental factors has helped me
Step into a more diverse life more firmly.
However, today I heard Kim Anh and Hung confess
secrets, practical issues in grace life
love between husband and wife; Once again, I want to cry out like Archimedes when
found the source of the water's buoyancy, when he was naked in the bathtub: "Eureka!" means: "I found it!").
It would be a mistake if we did not mention the guidance of spiritual director Au Quoc Thanh, CMC. The help, listening, and analysis of Father Thu, Father Hoang, Father Hy, Father Khoi Anh, Sister Tho, Master Sau Thi, Master Kim... during the discussions. The way the couple sat separately also helped Duc Hien be bolder and more honest while confiding and sharing in small group meetings.
And, perhaps blessing rituals, candle lighting
Love, erasing fingerprints in the sand, renewing the engagement... have left unforgettable marks deep into the minds of the participants.
The moments spent together in the Nguyen^.n house, the moments walking around the cathedral grounds, or sitting silently holding hands in a corner of the room... We both felt like we were integrated into each other. make a .
Never before has the Bible verse: "What God has joined together, let no man separate" have been able to portray so clearly and with such conviction in Duc Hien's soul. As I followed the group, hand in hand with a lit LOVE candle, on the way to attend the PINK PARTY, my heart suddenly felt as happy as it did nearly 40 years ago:
"Today the weather is beautiful and sunny
I am the groom entering your house
Surrounded by people watching and watching
The couple walked together to the church
Satisfying moments of anticipation
So many days of waiting for each other now
Before Thien Nhan quietly prayed
May love deepen with the color of time."
(German poem)
In ecstatic joy, the song: "And the heart is happy again" seems to help the "grooms" and "new brides" remember the sweetness, bitterness, and sweetness of married life: There is happiness, and
There are also opposites - obstacles. But no matter what, we still have each other and each other in life, so that together we can see the endless joy in the love of a couple, under the shade of Heavenly Love.
God. One time, I heard a brother speak before an audience:
"I've been away from You for 5 years, but You're still not there
leave me".
The writer suddenly remembered the Bible verse:
"I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU".
(Hebrews 13)
Lord, we are returning to you, we
are finding each other again, to renew their convictions in their hearts
I made a promise from long ago:
"I would like to renew my promise to you.
I promise to love you and respect you all
day in my life.
I promise to be loyal to you while you are happy
as well as times of trial, times of illness as well as times
healthy."
When reading this with forty couples in
Session 29: Renewing Married Life, in the middle of the Cathedral
Vietnamese Martyrs, Arlington -Texas ; in front of the Holy Communion table, and in the presence of nearly a thousand parishioners; I choked on my words and Hien's eyes filled with tears. Is it true that the promise follows the old marriage rites; Now it is repeated more firmly, more clearly, more sympathetically and with more experience after months of living together.
Today, sit and look at the beautiful, clear, and vivid photos; Posted on the internet by Mr. Pham Hai and many others, it was posted on the internet for everyone to enjoy; Duc Hien would like to express his sincere thanks. Thanks a lot.
As I sit down to write these lines, many memories are still flowing like an endless stream of life. Course 29 of the DDSHN program was implemented and was a great success, thanks to the efforts, intelligence, and contributions in all aspects of the Father, Teacher, Sister, and brothers and sisters in the Service Committee. In the feelings of a couple of participants, Duc Hien would like to express his gratitude
God, thank you for life, thank you for working together in the course, especially those in the service department.
Please pray for each other! brothers and sisters.
Hope to have a chance to meet again.
Dear',
